As of April 2023, Comreg the Irish telco regulator introduced new regulations that allow operators to reject traffic coming from international VoIP gateways presenting Irish caller IDs.
We are now seeing traffic from Irish VoIP be blocked on some of our low cost international carriers.
As a result, there will be cost increases in wholesale and business SIP Trunking as we introduce new local carriers to terminate traffic.
These cost increases will come into affect over the coming days.
